I believe that people have the power to let go of unhelpful and destructive patterns. Whether one is dealing with intrusive thoughts, mood disorders, maladaptive behaviors, interpersonal issues, or more, my empathetic, goal-oriented approach helps the client understand the function of their behaviors, allowing us to work together to develop the tools needed to more constructively manage challenges. As a result, the client can more intentionally and actively engage in life. My experience as a general neurologist and psychiatric medication prescriber provides me with a unique, holistic perspective surrounding therapy. I utilize various interventions, including solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure response prevention, acceptance and commitment, among more. I invite you to reach out to schedule an appointment, and we can establish goals, which will inform the appropriate interventions. There is no one size fits all approach to therapy, and I am excited to work with you.
