Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I work with both couples and individuals of all ages, and have a collaborative approach that leaves room for humor amidst intensity and gentleness amidst serious change. I have specialized experience providing sex therapy, LGBTQ+ support, Asian American culturally competent care, and counseling for multicultural identities and relationships. These specialties also overlap with my passion for healthcare equity and activism for collective liberation. Clinical social work cannot merely be the bandaid that makes oppression easier to stomach; it should be part of the work that gets us free. I have an integrative approach, meaning I call on different therapy techniques depending on the client’s needs. These frequently include tools like "parts work," cognitive restructuring, mindfulness/body awareness, and going slowly and intentionally through childhood experiences to see what impact they might have on adult beliefs and patterns of behavior. Together as individual and therapist or couple and therapist, we form a team to explore everything from communication to conflict, pain to pleasure, birth to grief and builds skills to get you through all life might throw at you. To get started, what questions do you have for yourself to explore?
