Thinking about starting therapy can be scary, hopeful, intimidating, exciting, and a bunch of other emotions. Finding the right click between client and provider is such an important piece in health care and especially with something as delicate as therapy. Working collaboratively toward goals and outcomes that feel right for each person is a primary focus of the therapeutic relationship. Being able to witness and encourage growth and change is one of the greatest feelings as a therapist. I am available for individual therapy with adults and children as young as 12 years. My specialties include working with people struggling with trauma and addiction, knowing that there are often a number of co-occuring conditions that may be present as well. Regardless, I work to help each person strengthen effective coping strategies and reduce negative emotions. Having spent 20+ years in the mental health field working in a variety of settings, I continue to learn and grow along with the people I serve each day. No two people share the same experience, regardless of their diagnosis. I believe all individuals have the ability for change and growth within themselves and I consider it an honor to walk alongside.
