A good relationship is essential to helping the client connect with, remain in, and get the most from therapy. My approach to therapy is collaborative, goal-oriented, and relationship driven. I have been described as warm, easy to talk to, funny, and compassionate. I offer services to adolescents and adults experiencing emotion distress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, "gray area" alcohol use/marijuana use, and transitional issues. Many of my clients come to therapy looking to make a change but are unsure how to get started. My speciality lies in motivational interviewing which focuses on exploring and resolving ambivalence and centers on motivational processes within the client that helps to facilitate change. I received a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Boston University. I have a experience working in a variety of settings including College Mental Health, Intensive Residential Treatment Programs for Adolescents, and the Juvenile Court.
