I utilize short-term and long-term therapeutic strategies, based on the needs of each person. My goal is often to help people escape the loop of distorted negative thinking and become more confident and relaxed. I believe in the power of mindfulness and teach my patients concrete ways they can bring it into their daily routines. View 4 Photos Big life changes, whether negative, like a breakup, an illness, a loss of a loved one, or positive, such as starting a new job, going back to school, moving to a new city, getting married, or planning to have a child - can be triggering and lead a person to seek help to gain clarity and develop better coping skills. The beginning of any new relationship can feel scary. For every patient who comes to see me I try to create an atmosphere of openness and trust, and a sense of togetherness. Life is hard and the ability to seek help is a great strength.
