Clinically trained at the Hunter School of Social Work, Naomi’s training focused on working with, children, adolescents, young adults, and adults on issues such as behavioral disturbances, ADHD, anger, substance use / co-occurring disorders, depression & mood, anxiety, OCD, grief & loss, trauma, and more. Naomi’s approach developed during her academic and experiential work as well as many diverse post graduate trades a rich foundation in: Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapies, Mindfulness Based Therapies. Naomi uses her childhood development, parenting knowledge and training to better connect with children, parents, and even adults-where many challenges in adulthood are sourced from childhood. Her warm and non-judgmental demeanor creates a comfortable space for therapeutic connection for all ages and populations. Naomi believes that the goal for her clients' time in therapy is not to change them but to collaborate with them in highlighting and reinforcing their strengths. Through this collaborative process, clients experience a sense of support and empowerment, enabling them to work towards their goals with confidence and resilience.
