About

My work is centered around relationships, I see it as a basic instrument for having a successful, meaningful and functioning life. I deal with all kinds of relationships between couples, between parents and children, between people at work and friends. Good communication is fundamental in achieving good relationships. I teach effective communication with empathy and positive regard. Caring about others starts with caring about one's self. I help my clients to build up their self and thus to improve their self esteem.

The areas of my expertise include depression, anxiety disorders, loss and bereavement, adjustment during and after separation or divorce, parenting, and surviving infidelities. My sub-specialty is multi-cultural counseling and dealing with different ethnic groups that are struggling with adjusting to new culture and environment.

I am a warm and personable clinician, using eclectic methods such as cognitive - behavioral, systemic, psychodynamic and client centered. I am here to help anyone who goes through challenging times. I received the C. Eugene Morris Alumni Award in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University.
