I work with people who have anxiety or depression who may be struggling in their relationships with family members, partners, or friends. Other people are stuck in toxic workplaces and need support and coping skills as they plan their next steps. Some have ADHD, which does allow them to think outside the box but can also make daily life quite overwhelming. My background in the Arts (MFA) gives me an understanding of how Creatives need to learn how to tolerate rejection as they stay focused on their dreams. I have worked with first and second generation Americans caught between two cultures. I love helping people change their lives. Therapy is a conversation: you do most of the talking but I am not a silent partner. Exploring your early life can reveal the roots of self-sabotage. With insight and learning to challenge negative thoughts, you will build self-confidence. If anxiety leads to spiraling I share coping strategies. I can also work with you to improve your communication skills. Building our therapeutic alliance is vital, and I will approach our work in a way that is comfortable to you. Therapy in my office (or on video) will be shaped by your needs and wishes. We will identify and explore issues then strategize solutions. If a situation would benefit from coaching, I can do that. I want to help you learn how to help yourself.
