My goal is to help you get unstuck. You will begin to feel better just by taking the first step. Serious problems often need someone to both listen and offer alternative ways for thinking in order to make changes that last. Doing nothing and just hoping and wishing that things will get better doesn't work. I will prompt you and support you in taking concrete steps. I talk straight, listen closely and respectfully ask good questions. Starting with our first session, you will begin to figure out a new way to go. Let's talk soon about beginning. My approach is active, creative, solution-focused and based on cognitive-behavioral principles and family systems theory. I combine traditional talk therapies with mind-body techniques including EMDR, mindfulness and hypnosis. I am very comfortable talking about spiritual issues related to what matters most. I have training in addiction recovery for the recovering person and family members. I am an expert on issues related to parenting, ADHD, reconnecting adolescents to their parents, mid-life transitions, grief and loss and using mindfulness and creativity to calm down, focus and be more present in your life.
