Mya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University and her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Mya provides individual therapy to adolescents and adults with a primary focus in eating disorders, as well as trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidality, body image concerns, and other life stressors. Mya is a Health at Every Size (HAES) informed clinician and is LGBTQIA+ affirming. Mya describes herself as a client-centered therapist that draws upon Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing in her therapeutic approach. Though she tailors her therapeutic approach to the needs of each client, she consistently adopts a non-judgmental and radically honest approach to therapy.
