Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in adolescents (ages 16+) and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and difficulty coping with medical problems. As a therapist, I believe that everyone is capable of change and healing, regardless of your circumstances. I utilize a strengths-based and systems approach, with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral and solutions-focused interventions. For clients struggling with OCD, my primary treatment approach is Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). My hope is to develop a therapeutic relationship with you and earn your trust to work towards your personal goals. I understand the daunting task of finding the right therapist, and I would love to connect with you to help you overcome barriers to find true fulfillment and contentment in your life. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Pepperdine University and my Master’s degree in social work from Abilene Christian University. I have experience working in schools, counseling centers, and in the UVA health system. In my free time, I love walking my dog Maggie, exploring the outdoors, and trying new restaurants around town!
