Hello, I'm Monique, an Associate Counselor at Metanoia Counseling with a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Counseling from Texas A&M University San Antonio. I’m dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families on their journeys toward healing, growth, and mental well-being. My ideal client may be managing grief, trauma, or relationship challenges and seeks a safe space to be heard and empowered. Using evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, and Internal Family Systems, I tailor my trauma-informed approach to each client’s unique needs, fostering resilience and meaningful change. I’ve worked with clients of all ages, supporting children through grief at the South Texas Children’s Bereavement Center and helping individuals and families at Usawa Wellness Services. These experiences have strengthened my trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy skills, all of which I bring to my practice. As a member of the American Counseling Association and Texas Counseling Association, I am committed to creating a safe, culturally sensitive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My strengths-based approach combines a variety of techniques for holistic healing. I’m here to support you on your journey toward growth and well-being.
