About

Individuals choose to seek therapy with me for various reasons. Professionals wish to process work issues, decrease anxiety levels or substance use. Family members want support for health conditions that have impacted their family and are a source of ongoing stress. Couples wish to strengthen communication. Retired individuals want to approach their retirement years with meaning and purpose. Individuals find that our time together builds coping skills, resilience, and greater clarity and life satisfaction.

My approach to therapeutic work is a strengths-based, integrative, whole-person perspective. My perspective is one of hope and compassion for the struggles in life that we all face. Together we can identify cognitive, expressive and mindfulness strategies that can be incorporated into one's life to build personal resilience.

My therapeutic perspective is informed by previous work on community-based health research at Duke University Medical Center where I worked with clients with a variety of mental health conditions. Our work together can focus on the areas of your life that you identify as most meaningful. I invite you to contact me to join your journey of self-discovery.
