Michelle Ikei is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with expertise in working with adolescents, adults, and families. Michelle integrates relational therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and tailors' sessions and treatment to support individuals and/or families in navigating life’s challenges. My approach to therapy varies on the individual needs of my client and will frequently use narrative and relational approaches, as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to help in better understand themselves and reach their goals. My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, seen, and validated. By fostering an atmosphere of trust and openness, I encourage clients to share their experiences and emotions freely, without fear of judgment. I decided to become a therapist because I’ve always enjoyed talking to others, building strong and trusting relationships, and helping people to get through difficult situations or times in their lives. I am dedicated to supporting people to discover their strengths and potential and embracing who they are and want to be.
