Therapists » Licensed Professional Counselor
My name is Michele Cotter, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I work with clients of all ages statewide via telehealth. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Informed care to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. I use an integrated approach depending on the type of client that I work with. Not every theory fits everyone perfectly; so the ability to shift to different perspectives allows a holistic approach to healing. My communication style is calm, caring, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything. I believe in making all clients feel welcome, accepted, heard, valued, and important in the therapeutic process. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. My approach to goal setting with clients is all about working together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together. This often starts by building trust between us and getting comfortable with the therapeutic process. Over time, we'll work together to set goals and track your progress.
