About

I have practiced in Fort Lauderdale since 1999. My background also includes many years as a trial lawyer and a master's level social worker in New England. Over the years I have worked with a diverse group of people ranging in age from 6 to 92! While my initial training focused on working with children and families, especially in divorce-related issues, since moving to Florida, my practice took a dramatic turn towards working with obesity and bariatric surgery patients. As this field developed, it required me to expand my focus to include addictions, trauma, depression, anxiety and relationships issues.

While I use several treatment modalities, my area of interest fACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) is grounded in being mindfully present to the moment and developing a life course consistent with one's goals and values. I incorporate mindfulness practice and interpersonal neurobiology.

My Office hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM through 6:00 PM. At other times I can be reached on my cell phone. My office is also pet-friendly, as my two dogs are usually at the office, and according to my clients, have added to their therapeutic experience.
