About

I believe a good working relationship can be one of the foundations of effective therapy, and some of my greatest natural strengths lie in the area of creating a relationship with you characterized by safety, trust and collaboration. The working environment we create will be especially helpful for those with depression, personality and relationship issues. I am comfortable with shorter-term work, but also recognize that some work takes additional time with a therapist in order to explore issues in greater depth and to generate lasting and meaningful change.

I also offer specialized treatment of sexual addictions as a Certified Sexual Addictions Therapist (CSAT) through training with Dr. Patrick Carnes. Additionally, I work with survivors of childhood sexual abuse (CSA), organized abuse and ritual abuse. These cases often involve high levels of dissociation and at times Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).

To my work with clients, I bring a high degree of empathy and compassion, a focus on collaboration, a respect for the importance of spirituality, gender identity and culture, an appreciation of the healing quality of humor, and a strong knowledge of psychological difficulties and how to educate about them.
