Hello, my name is Dr. Michael McCormick. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. My approach to therapy is meeting my client where they are and moving them to where they want to be. My areas of focus are psychosis, depression, anxiety, mania, anger management, and trauma. My therapeutic approach to therapy is that I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral and Object Relations techniques. Since high school, I have been fascinated with the field of Psychology. I always was the friend who people came to help them resolve their problems. As a result, I decided to become a Psychologist. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of clients. My focus has been working with adults. I have had some experiences working with adolescents as well. My communication style depends on my client's needs but overall, my goal is to have a reciprocal conversation, which provides support and validation. During the first session, my goal to get to know my client so that I can start to formulate a plan on ways to best help them. I work with my clients to develop goals that we both agree upon.
