About

I’m comfortable working with clients across the lifespan, but I work best with those who have historically felt misunderstood and unheard, and even those that are distrustful of the therapy process. With that in mind, my goal is to make each client feel special and empowered during and after their time with me. I enjoy talking about “hard things” or even “taboo” things, and encourage my clients to use their time with me in whatever way they need. I don’t believe that progress is linear and I am interested in meeting my client where they are with their goals even if the starting point is simply making an appointment and showing up.

I have a heart for the underdog and firmly believe that all people have strengths, exhibiting this throughout my clinical and leadership roles in mental health nonprofits, school based therapy, and the judicial system. This includes experience with individuals living with mental health symptoms as well as supporting their loved ones in their new dynamic.

Some of my favorite clinical acomplishments include reconnecting partners after a diagnosis of psychosis and supporting a transgender teen in coming out to his parents. If you or your loved one is looking to be empowered to be their most authentic self, I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have about starting or revisiting your therapeutic journey.
