I became a counselor to provide a safe space for people to be themselves. I’m no different from the clients I see. I've been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help. I have seen the effect a compassionate listener can have on a person. As a counselor I want to help you let go of the things that have been holding you back. Being a therapist is inspiring. I love helping people become healthier and more empowered and watching them transform their lives. I am committed to encouraging you to see healing and transformation are possible, and to be excited about your life again. I am trained in traditional therapy types including: CBT, family systems, person-centered therapy, and in TF-CBT (trauma focused CBT) working with children and teens who have experienced trauma. I also have extensive experience performing mental health and academic testing. I am equally able to integrate faith-based counseling, if requested. I consider it a privilege to walk with clients on their journey of healing and I understand the counseling relationship is a powerful method for change. I believe that your strengths are primary when approaching problems and empowering you as an expert in your own lives is key to wellness. I am here when you are ready.
