About

Before anything else, we're human. We all carry our stories with us every day; some we are familiar with & some we are not. Trauma can come in various forms & the lingering effects of that can shape who we are in the present. Whether the trauma be big or small, it is worthwhile to gain understanding on how our experiences impact us. Trying to deal with things alone can be difficult & isolating, but entering the space of healing through connection can make all of the difference. Anxiety, mood changes & life events can collide with underlying stories which make it difficult to sort out on our own.

Creating an inviting & safe space is the first step to any relationship. I rely on evidence-based practices through a trauma-informed approach to help explore how your past may impact the present, which can help us change the future. Depending on who I'm speaking to at the moment, I customize my approach to be specific to your unique wants, needs & goals.

Meaningful work with a counselor is done in a safe, non-judgmental space—all starting with a connection between two people. Stepping into the space of therapy can be frightening but there is comfort in knowing that you are not alone & are worthy of feeling seen & heard. We all have empowerment that lives within us, sometimes we need some help finding it.
