When life feels stressful or overwhelming, it’s okay to ask for help. As an LMHC, I team up with clients to help them determine what changes they’d like to make in their lives and the most effective ways to achieve them. We all need support at times, whether it be working through some past/current life-changing events, making big decisions, improving family or intimate partner relationships, or learning new skills to change things in your life. My background includes utilizing evidence-based approaches to assist those struggling with trauma, mood disorders, social skills deficits, and oppositional behavior & sexual behavior issues. I have experience providing group, individual, and family therapies to culturally diverse and high-risk populations, including children/families involved with DCF, and youth/families involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice. Therapy isn’t always easy; there will be days you leave session feeling on top of the world, and days you may want to throw rocks at me; this is all part of the change process that we'll work through together.
