About

I believe that people genuinely do the best they can and that we always have an opportunity to learn and improve. We all experience joys and sorrows that can impact our daily functioning. Sometimes these experiences can make us feel “stuck.” Together we can build a tool box with strategies to empower you in everyday life. A growth-promoting and caring atmosphere will be provided to help you build self-awareness, find inner peace, discover your strengths, and help you to find balance in your life.

I work with adults from a variety of backgrounds, abilities, and ages. Together, we'll build a tool box so that you're better able to deal with situations that may cause discomfort. An eclectic and solution-focused approach to counseling is used. ACT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness approaches are used as well.

As we work together, we'll discuss ways to help improve your quality of life. I enjoy working w/ adults dealing w/ mental health challenges, college students w/ disabilities, individuals dealing w/ transitional issues (e.g. new diagnoses, elderly parents), career counseling, grief, pet loss, nutrition and mental health. I support Health at Every Size (HAES).
