My ideal client is mostly likely a professional in their early 20s to 70's. I may also work with teens ages 13 and up. My ideal client struggles with adjustment difficulties, family/relational issues, issues at school (middle school through college), parenting challenges, life transitions, depression, or anxiety. My ideal client is seeking unconditional acceptance, empathy, and understanding, and needs a therapist to meet them where they are and be nonjudgmental. My ideal client sees me as a partner with them on their journey toward optimal mental health, whatever that looks like for them. I offer unconditional positive regard to my clients, and a safe space to be able to freely express themselves. My specialty is interpersonal therapy, with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy; however, sometimes an eclectic approach is best, depending on the client's presenting issues. I want to congratulate you on taking the important step to improve your emotional health by seeking therapy, and I appreciate how scary that can feel. I'd love the opportunity to really meet you where you are, and listen and support you as we explore together what's working and not working for you, and work together on developing lasting and positive change.
