About

A strong therapeutic relationship is safe, respectful, patient, and empowering. My goal is to help clients feel more motivated, flexible, and hopeful about their lives. I have worked in social services for over thirty years. I have experience working with adults, children, parents, and other caregivers. I primarily treat adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, grief and loss, abuse, trauma, identity issues, relationship problems, and difficulties with behavioral and emotional regulation. I help clients focus on their strengths to build resilience.

My practice integrates elements of person-centered, attachment-baed, cognitive-behavioral, and trauma-focused therapies. I use techniques that calm the mind, deepen self-awareness, and teach practical skills/strategies for coping with stress and change. I specialize in helping clients explore how attachment and trauma experiences affect their coping styles.

Maine has many qualified therapists, so chances are you will be able to find one who is a good fit for you. I invite you to call me to discuss whether we might work well together to reach your goals.
