McKenna is a PLMFT who changed careers in mental health after a successful career in technology and innovation. She shifted into a new phase when she realized her true passion: understanding how her brain works. She completed her M.A. at Syracuse University; now in Saint Louis to pursue her PhD at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. McKenna’s clinical focus is the NeuroTriad model consisting of three core pillars: trauma-informed, neuroscience-based, and resilience-focused, educating and empowering clients with the neuroscience behind human thought and emotion and building skills or resiliency to achieve optimum outcomes We do all of this while still holding space and grace for the challenges of being human. McKenna works with individuals and couples to build applicable understanding and evidence-based skills to improve interpersonal relationships, communication, and the ability to navigate life transitions. Outside of the therapy room McKenna enjoys research and writing beyond her academic publications McKenna has written for Forbes, Apple News and Adweek and others mostly about innovation, technology, or executive leadership. McKenna loves learning and is always building up skills and thinks sharing information is the missing love language.
