I often work with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, past traumas, life transitions, or find themselves unable to break unhealthy patterns. I'm a multicultural and bilingual psychotherapist with 20+ years of experience. I have practiced in different settings during my career: community outpatient clinics, emergency psychiatry, inpatient, research. I have done post-graduate training to refine my clinical skills, become a better therapist: DBT, psychoanalyisis, AF-EMDR. My approach is client centered. We work together in developing treatment goals and finding the approach that works for you. From my psychoanalytic training I developed an appreciation of how histories shape our personalities and behaviors. I also learned that other modalities (like AF-EMDR) can also be helpful in relieving symptoms and building resilience. Finding a therapist that feels right for you can be challenging. I offer a 15 minute phone consultation to clarify questions you may have and see if what I offer meets your needs.
