Imagine taking a moment to connect your feelings and thoughts. You sit down and take a moment to feel sensations in your body, your mood, and then work through the story you connect to it all. Often when seeking therapy we start by wanting to find solutions to get rid of unwanted thoughts, feelings, and behaviors - and this is good! Taking time to have caring and attentive guidance through this process is the role I take. As you share what you are going through either as an individual, partners, or family, I see that it is my job to come alongside to first listen and then guide the path to a different and preferred life. Therapy is often prompted by a transition in life. Something happened or will happen and we need to be prepared for it. I work with people grieving death and loss. I work with couples struggling with affairs. I work with adolescents contemplating steps toward adulthood. It is my role to here about the impacts of change and guide along the way. The best way to learn about a therapist is to talk to them. All of my initial consultations are free and I am happy to chat on the phone. Check out my website also if you'd like to get a better idea of who I am. Ultimately this is about finding a good fit to grow in your life.
