The stories we tell about ourselves can be complicated. Often times, how we see ourselves is based on how others see us, on societal expectations, or assumptions rooted in the past. I work with clients to help engage curiosity and exploration, detangling behaviors and feelings that get in the way of the life and relationships they desire. I believe the problems we face can actually serve as an important catalyst for achieving the things we value most in our lives. In session, we will work together to create new meaning, generating change when needed and exploring what all is possible. I strive to create a safe therapeutic space that includes collaboration, empathy, warmth, and humor. I have experience working with adults, couples, and children & adolescents, along with clients who are new to therapy. I bring somatic practices and tools for achieving emotional regulation into my work when needed. I have a particular interest in working with clients experiencing life transitions in their career and interpersonal relationships. My own background includes working with highly creative individuals, and I encourage clients to bring their creative work into the therapeutic process.
