Many events in our lives present unique opportunities for change. While some difficulties become evident during transition periods throughout our lifecycle, such as marriage, the birth of a child, or loss of a loved one, ALL are understandable and resolved within the relationships we have in the present. Seeking help isn't admitting defeat- it's simply courageous. While having practiced since 2011, I recently retired from teaching marriage and family therapy at Fairfield University and have been exclusively devoting myself to seeing clients since 2023. I approach every individual, couple, and family based on my belief in their inherent goodness and understand symptoms as having a benevolent purpose. It's true that some problems are biologically based, yet I approach clients with curiosity about how their problems are created and maintained in their most intimate relationships. My strength-based, approach to psychotherapy, and advanced clinical training in Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Relational Life Therapy position me well to help you achieve.
