About

By searching this website you have taken a big step toward trying to address whatever problems and difficulties you are facing right now. I work with clients to transform experiences of suffering into opportunities for growth and discovery of one's inner strengths. I am a non-judgmental, compassionate listener who strives to build a therapeutic relationship that is honest, supportive, and empathic. Within this relationship we will be able to safely and sensitively identify and work through sources of pain and problems that you are experiencing.

Ultimately my goal is to help clients overcome barriers that prevent them from experiencing themselves, their relationships and their lives in a full and rich way. I work to understand each client's unique struggle, to appreciate the client as a whole person, respecting their personal history and cultural background.

I work from an eclectic psychodynamic approach. On a case by case basis I also incorporate mindfulness-based and cognitive-behavioral techniques as appropriate. I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds with a vast array of concerns: depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, bereavement, eating disorders, life transitions, etc.
