Often it's a crisis or a series of unique events that bring people to therapy. Others may struggle with uncomfortable feelings or feel unsatisfied with patterns in relationships or in other areas of life. Therapy can help. I develop therapy relationships with thoughtfulness, kindness, and an appreciation of the humor in things. My perspectives draw from psychoanalysis, family-systems, socio-cultural contexts, mindfulness, and neurology. I incorporate many techniques; psychodynamic talk therapy, mindful-ness, EMDR, and others. With over 30 years as a psychotherapist, a clinical supervisor, and director of programs, I am comfortable and have helped a wide range of people and issues. I serve adults, couples, families, and all races, genders, and sexualities. I address anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, issues re gender, and issues re sexuality, among others. When selecting a counselor it is important to consider your impressions and sense of trust when you meet. It can be difficult to reach out for help. I encourage you to call. If I am not the right person to help, I assure you I will do what I can to get you to the right person.
