Thank you for your interest in my practice. I work with adults ages 18 and up. My initial aim is to establish a safe and comfortable therapeutic relationship that allows you to feel understood. I believe in the mind/body connection and the importance of helping you to become more present in your life to allow access to inner resources. We will work collaboratively to assess your individual strengths and goals and I will do what works best for you. I will be a calm and genuine presence in the room.
My work with clients is rooted in Mindfulness principles. I am a Qualified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, having completed a two year training through the Center for Mindfulness in MA. I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have taught DBT skills with adolescents and adults.
I have practiced Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation for over twenty years. I incorporate mindfulness in my individual work with clients. I enjoy assisting clients who have a desire to develop a regular mindfulness practice in their daily lives for management of stress, anxiety, depression and chronic pain.
