About

Are you motivated to change your life, but don't quite know where to start? My clients come for help to deal with relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, and loss. With counseling you can begin improving close loving relationships, manage difficult emotions calmly, replace negative thinking with positive rational thoughts, and let go of old fears and pain to more easily enjoy life. As a licensed clinical psychologist I have worked in schools, prisons, community mental health centers and for the last twenty years in private practice. I enjoy working with couples in my home office.

I am a member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. I use hypnosis to help clients with depression, anxiety, weight loss, pain, and smoking cessation. I also use Cognitive therapy to help clients argue against their negative thoughts and Gestalt therapy to enable clients to develop increased awareness of their needs and take constructive action.

In addition to counseling, I provide vocational assessments and evaluations for ADHD (adults and children) using standardized tests. My goal is to help clients to develop a more creative and joyful approach to life. A cognitive therapy workbook is available.
