I work with adults, adolescents, and couples. I am active in my work; I clarify for each person what is important to her. My orientation is psychodynamic; I explore past history connected to the present and open the possibility of finding out who you are, how you arrived here, and where you are going. Crises in development and transition are important, opportunities for change. These are good moments to enter therapy. Times of depletion or feeling stuck are also important moments to initiate change. I'm here to help. It is important that you feel I understand you correctly, as you see yourself. With couples, I make sure each is understood by the other; if fighting, I want to teach how to fight fairly. Interpretations are made for your confirmation or disconfirmation; I want to understand you from your point of view. I am also available for clinical supervision of professionals and for group consultation. I use humor at times. I also work with children in play therapy. I am proficient in areas of parenting skills. I am knowledgeable about developmental crises. I have worked with addictions in various stages, and with co-dependency.
