Marissa is Restorative Counseling’s resident couples and family therapist and is passionate about helping her clients’ relationships become healthy and strong. She works with couples experiencing high levels of conflict, as well as couples who find it hard to speak openly with their partner and have fallen into a pattern of avoidance. Marissa also counsels families, including families with adult children, who seek to create a healthier dynamic. Clients appreciate her warm and empathetic nature paired with her direct and clear approach. Marissa pulls from a variety of evidence-based therapies to develop comprehensive and personalized counseling plans for each of her clients based on their presenting concerns and goals. Approaches include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
