Psychotherapy is a process of accessing the lifeforce within you and learning how it can be expressed in accordance with your authentic life values. Whether it is the challenges brought on by anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, substance abuse/addiction or disordered eating that brings you to therapy, I work to establish a collaborative relationship that grows out of your personal narrative. Together we will discover how to overcome what is preventing you from leading the life you want. I have expertise in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and CBT, DBT and certification in treating eating disorders, addictions and alcoholism. I work relationally and weave in these techniques when needed to help you identify self-inhibiting patterns of thought and behavior and replace them with healthier alternatives. The sensitive use of EMDR and somatic experiencing will accelerate your healing process by helping you to gain insight and compassion, lower stress, and reconcile past traumas. I have extensive experience with adolescents, adults and couples and my approach is tailored to the unique challenges posed by these different life stages and passages.
