I believe the therapeutic relationship is co-constructed and my foundational goal is to hold a warm, welcoming, non judgmental, and affirming space that allows people to show up safely and authentically in their efforts to seek support. I also look for opportunities to center clients' inherent strengths, wisdom, cultural values, and lived experiences to inform my clinical approach. I have had the privilege of providing therapeutic support to people with a broad range of intersecting identities, with a specific focus on supporting the psychological wellness of folks within the African diaspora. I have had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings. I have journeyed with people in their efforts to address a range of presenting concerns including depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, identity, grief/loss, attention/focus, familial difficulties, academic performance, and adjustment difficulties. For many, taking the courageous step to engage in therapy can feel daunting for a variety of reasons. I've witnessed the transformative experiences that can happen when one establishes a connection with a mental health provider that they are able to trust and be authentic with. I wish you well as you consider starting your therapy journey.
