Life throws us many obstacles and challenges, no matter our age. Challenges such as starting a new job, moving to a new city, starting or ending a relationship, etc. Along with these new journeys, you may start to experience excessive worry, or continuously doubt your abilities, or feel isolated and alone and therefore not wanting to burden others. These patterns begin to influence your relationships with others and yourself, affecting your mood, motivation level, and overall happiness. If you’re reading this, you are approaching the first step into your therapeutic journey and I am here to help you with each step moving forward. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, racial identity, women’s issues, stress, and family conflict. I practice from a trauma-informed lens, utilizing CBT, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and interpersonal modalities. I identify as a Black, Latinx female and view cultural competency as a big part of my therapeutic process. Therapy can be a vulnerable experience, and I aim to make that experience as comfortable and safe for you as possible. Therapy is about you and your needs, and I will meet you wherever you are at mentally and emotionally. Since you have gotten to this point, I have a feeling that you are ready to take the step and schedule your first session!
