Margeaux is skilled in the treatment of depression, anxiety, substance use, and co-occurring disorders such as (but not limited to) depression and trauma. Margeaux has years of experience working in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient settings specializing in the treatment of co-occuring substance use disorders and PTSD. Margeaux’s passion for working with clients suffering from unresolved trauma and clinically diagnosable PTSD prompted her to obtain training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDRIA-approved Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy in January 2022. Through a collaborative and supportive relationship, Margeaux enjoys empowering clients to find relief and freedom from symptoms while addressing underlying triggers, fears, and maladaptive patterns. She is excited to continue serving diverse populations of adolescents and adults using an evidenced-based, multidisciplinary approach. Margeaux Groene is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She brings a wealth of experience and passion to her work with adolescents and adults seeking help with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD), and substance use disorders.
