About

My primary practice is the assessment and treatment of children, birth through age 10, with developmental and social-emotional difficulties. I offer clinical assessment for children and individual, client-centered therapy for children and their caregivers. I specialize in treating children with trauma-related conditions, including child maltreatment and attachment or adjustment disorders. This includes work around grief and loss, and those impacted by divorce or separation from caregivers. Additionally, my work with children involves parenting education and support when there are stressors within the family system.

With young children I use a variety of developmentally-based, biologically-respectful therapies to assist children with self-expression and problem resolution. These include child-centered play therapy, directive play therapy, Theraplay, EMDR, and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT).

My advanced degree is a Master of Social Work degree from The University Of Kansas. I hold licensure in the state of Kansas as a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker. In addition, I am certified as a Registered Play Therapist/Supervisor, Level 1 certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, and Level 2 certified in EMDR.
