Therapy is about self-exploration and growth, whether you want to improve your communication with others, learn how to cope with stress or any other mental injury that's weighing you down. Many times, feeling heard and being able to reflect can give you the space you need to make decisions about your life. You have to start where you are. I believe in a cognitive behavioral and person-centered therapy approach, where the way we talk and think about our experiences have a direct impact on the way we view our world and the control we have in it. I find that change happens when we are willing to examine our belief systems and pay attention to how this aligns with what we want. As your therapist, I am not the expert on your life and what you have been through. With your permission, I'd like to listen and help you explore things from multiple angles, while sharing my knowledge and experience with you along the way. I want my patients to feel heard, validated, and safe in my presence.
