Malika Mitchell, MSW, LMSW is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master's Degree in Social Work from Touro College. Malika received her undergraduate degree from Hunter College of the City University of New York. She has over 15 years experience working in a variety of settings and a diverse client population including children, adolescents, adults, seniors, individuals, and families. Malika is an established mental health counselor and has been doing clinical practice the last several years. Malika began her career working with children and families at New York City Administration for Children's Services. She then pursued a position as a healthcare social worker primarily supporting patients and their families, patient's continuum of care, and care planning. Malika advanced her career becoming a Social Services Director. Encompassing professional, supervisory and administrative work, and overseeing the operation of the social work department. Malika's areas of expertise include: anxiety and depression, grief and loss, family/relationship issues, phase-of-life and personal growth, life stressors and next steps, and more. Malika provides both assessment services and therapy using a holistic and collaborative approach.
