About

I am a bilingual (English/Spanish), Licensed Master Social Worker with over 20 years of providing culturally responsive and supportive counseling. I practice from a strengths based perspective and have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solutions focused to help clients move from crisis to confidence. I utilize motivational interviewing and a holistic approach, including spiritual wellbeing. I understand cultural differences, the complexities of language barriers, and the pressure of communicating laborious topics in a second language. I earned my Master’s of Science in Social Work from Adelphi University.

Most of my career has been dedicated to working with historically marginalized communities, dealing with social, emotional and environmental problems. Including interventions focused on interpersonal interactions, intrapsychic dynamics, and life management issues. I have worked in various clinical settings and multiple care systems.

Years of practice include Grief & Loss, Hospice Care, Forensic Social Work, Crisis Intervention, Systemic Racism & Oppression, Trauma focused, ABA therapy, Intellectual & developmental disability, troubled adolescents & youth, & LGBTQIA+ community. I have experience helping clients navigate through stress management, depression/anxiety, and life transitions.
