About

I believe that human relationships are the basis of personal well-being, and see the therapy room as a place to develop a model for honest communication and healthy dynamics. I believe our bodies are an invaluable source of information, and I strive to bring clients into their immediate, felt experience while they sit with me. My approach is empathetic, humanistic, present-centered, and aims to help clients understand and live in attunement with their own needs and values. I especially enjoy working with queer, trans, genderqueer, and non-binary individuals. My work is grounded in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

A social worker since 2006, my practice has been informed by ACT, CBT, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, contemplative practices, family therapy, social systems theory, film criticism. I see myself as more of a curious collaborator than an expert diagnosing conditions and treating symptoms.

I am presently employed at Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center (ASCC), in Hudson Falls, New York, where I am a pre-licensed clinician. I am currently able to bill Fidelis, MVP, and Highmark BCBS insurance plans. If you think we would be a good fit, feel free to email me or call ASCC at 518-747-2994 to set up an initial meeting!
