About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor focusing on treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, chronic pain and illness, life transitions, and interpersonal difficulties. I use an integrative, biopsychosocial approach to help clients improve their physical and emotional well-being, and to strengthen their interpersonal relationships. I have specific interest in supporting clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds in exploring gender, sexuality, and identity development. My understanding of diverse identities and backgrounds is informed by my experience as an LGBTQIA+ individual.

Drawing from my clinical, research, and teaching experiences, I integrate approaches from relational and trauma-informed therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I also utilize mindfulness, relaxation, and stress management tools to develop coping and self-care strategies.

I strive to bring compassion, empathy, humor, and strength-based approaches to the therapeutic change process. Through these techniques and the therapeutic relationship, I am committed to helping clients achieve their goals and create a meaningful life.
