About

After 35 years in the San Diego area, I feel particularly well suited to working with clients with a variety of "problems in living." Managing stress, lifestyle balance, coping with relationship issues, and workplace difficulties affect us all, and having professional support and input is now not only acceptable, but crucial. And, research has shown that of all the factors that are key in predicting a positive outcome in any form of therapy, the quality of the relationship with your therapist is the most important. And that is my focus!

My training is in CBT and ACT, clearly the most effective formats for issues of depression, anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, and a variety of other issues. Moreover, my specialized training in psychopharmacology makes me a key healthcare provider for individuals in need of appropriate medication management with their prescribing physician.

One of the tools that distinguishes psychologists from all other mental health professionals is our use of psychological testing and assessment. A skillful use of a variety of psychological inventories makes diagnosis and treatment planning much more effective and focused.
