To start off, here's a quote from the movie the Crow: "It can't rain all the time." - Eric Draven/Brandon Lee, meaning the storm shall pass and there will be brighter days ahead. If you've experienced setbacks or difficult situations in life, therapy can help guide you back. I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker and obtained my Master’s degree from the University of Illinois Chicago’s Jane Addams College of Social Work. I have over 17 years of experience working in a university college counseling center, adolescent and adult psychiatric hospital, community mental health center, and crisis hotlines. I provide a warm, empathic, nonjudgmental, emotionally supportive style during sessions, and utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches. I can and will empathically empower and guide you when needed and appropriate to help you reach your therapeutic goals. I tend to use pop culture references during my sessions. I have a strong interest in working with marginalized populations, people experiencing work place dissatisfaction, and people who have experienced trauma and domestic violence. I am passionate about social justice and I connect well with diverse populations of all ages. If you feel that we might be a good fit, please reach out to me for a free consultation.
