About

The therapeutic space is one which asks people to approach difficult experiences, relationships, behaviors, emotions or parts of themselves, that for a multitude of reasons has been too painful or frightening to confront. My role is to partner with you in facing these difficulties, and provide a safe and empathic space in which exploration, increased insight and self awareness, make change possible. I address individual needs through integrating modalities such as CBT, DBT, skills/coping techniques, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am committed to working with clients towards the goals and growth they seek for themselves.

As a career changer, I am personally aware of both the joys and challenges that come with life transitions and change. I come from an arts/physical rehabilitation background, and utilize my body knowledge, somatic awareness and mindfulness in my therapeutic work. I have experience working with a diverse clientele, and am highly attuned to individual needs.

I work collaboratively, am attentive and active in the therapeutic process. I specialize in helping those struggling with life transitions, relationship issues (dating, marriage, parenting, family dynamics), anxiety and depression. I endeavor to make therapy possible for those who seek it, by maintaining space for both insurance and sliding scale clients.
