Hi! My name is Liz Phelan, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am based in Sacramento, CA, and work with clients statewide via telehealth. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and stress using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Supportive Therapy to help in navigating feelings and helping you to feeling better. In my practice, I mainly work with adults who have experienced trauma, are struggling with relationship issues or life transitions. This often is exhibited through feelings of depression, anxiety, and being overwhelmed. My priority is to help you navigate these feelings, and transitions, to build coping skills, and help you to feel better. My communication style is calm, non-judgmental, and personable. I provide clients a supportive environment by being present, listening, and providing a safe place to share thoughts and feelings. My approach to therapy is starting where the client is at, in the present moment. I will collaborate with you to develop mutually agreed-upon goals, and interventions, to help you to feel better and reach your goals. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Supportive Therapy in my practice.
